Description
Notice: this particular Scrum Pocket Class is specifically organized for the “Brewing Agile” event in Gothenburg, Sweden 🇸🇪 . The session is in-person only and registration is to be done on the website of the event. This morning session is back-to-back organized with the Scrum Pocket Class “Scrum in the Large” in the afternoon. A discount applies for anyone attending both workshops. This will be processed in the invoice you will receive from the organization.
There is more to Scrum than rules, roles, practices and principles. Scrum, actually, is even more about behavior than it is about process. Values drive behavior. The framework of Scrum is based upon as well as expressed through five core values: commitment, focus, openness, respect and courage.
Although these values were not invented as a part of Scrum, and are not exclusive to Scrum, they do give direction to the work, behavior and actions in Scrum. In a Scrum context, our decisions, the steps we take, the way we play the game, the practices we include and the activities we undertake within Scrum should all re-enforce these values, not diminish or undermine them. That requires understanding these values, and the associated behaviors.
Gunther Verheyen, independent Scrum Caretaker, does not aspire teaching values. In this interactive workshop, he will collaboratively explore with you the value in the Scrum Values in a context of…Scrum, i.e. against the background of the combination of people+complexity+empiricism. The workshop will include a few selected cases from “The Scrum Caretaker Book of Exercises”.
